Exterior
What sets this villa apart is the exceptional quality of the landscaping around it. On entering the property, one is immediately greeted by soft and rigorous natural forms. These are monochromatic variants of greens and perennials. They follow the undulations of the land around the villa in total osmosis with the lingering views of the Vendicari nature reserve beyond. As you move from the main gate through the meadows and pathways to the dry cactus gardens into this newly built residence. A small pond is carefully integrated into the garden meadows, offering at the same time sweeping views of the immediate landscape and beyond. This gem is ideal for sitting around the large table taking your meals with freshly barbecued fish you may have got from the Siracusa’s fish market. The cactus garden is beautiful and impressive but not a good playground for toddlers!
Swimming Pool
The villa features an infinity swimming pool (16 x 4m depth 1,50 m) with a deck and sun beds, two shaded terrace areas. The relaxing area by the infinity pool offers tantalizing sunset views. A small air-conditioned gym and its patio, changing rooms, showers, WC are discreetly at hand. The pool is open from May 1st to October 31st.
Interior
Arranged over two floors this villa provides incredibly versatile living where indoor and outdoor zones blend with great nonchalance and in complete harmony with the natural surroundings. On the ground floor: an antique wooden doorway leads you to the impressive entrance hall and to a living area where a sense of grandeur is immediately contrasted with the liveliness of the interiors. These are in parts traditional like the kitchen area, and in other parts more contemporary. The colorful exuberance of the interiors mixes well with contemporary furnishings. A modern library features in the informal reception room and adjoining dining room. A second reception room with sleek modern furniture, and a more formal dining room’s large windows look onto the breathtaking views. On this floor there are two double bedrooms each with its own en-suite bathroom, wardrobe and private exit to the outside. There is also a small single room with its own private bathroom. On the upper level: two en-suite double bedrooms display a delicate blend of considered Italian finishes and the highest quality fixtures and fittings. Each have a balcony with a view over the marshes. All have a private dressing room and en-suite bathroom. Each bathroom with its ceramic color scheme in classic Sicilian majolica of the master ceramist Nicolò Giuliano di Monreale with his and hers basins, large showers, WC and are lit by skylights.
